I've got a few ideas for using them in an assemblage...stay tuned!
Weekend garage and yard sales are everywhere this summer. Unlike most summers, I've gone to very few this year. While walking Gracie this morning, I did stop at a neighbor's moving sale. They are moving soon and desperate to get rid of their stuff...thus, lots of low prices (the BEST kinds of sales to go to!!). My big purchase...these old, weathered (vintage) wooden croquet balls...all of them for two bucks.
I've got a few ideas for using them in an assemblage...stay tuned!

Jonathan...yep...these were great finds. I'm going to see if I can actually cut them (or one of them) in half.

Can't wait to see what you do with these...delightfully grungy! In another note, I am thinking about using Facebook instead of Weebly...are you on FB?

I am still figuring out the FB thing but it seems easy so far. I keep up with Jenifer Renzel and Steve Hosch's work that way. It just pops up in my newsfeed, which I like. Of course, I want to keep up with what you are doing too...your work literally got me started in assemblage! I now have 7 pieces that a local vintage store has agreed to take on consignment. We will see what happens, but I just wanted to thank you for all of your encouragement. This has been really fun!

Sara, I'm really glad that I could be of some help in getting you started on your own journey of creating assemblages. Congratulations on getting several pieces into that vintage store...any photos from that venue? Maybe you can get some kind of "glean program" started in your location.
