Much (most) of my assemblage work translates well into boxes, so this kind of thing was a BIG find for me:
I discovered this old "Gould Battery" clock/display in the metals section of the Metro Transfer Station. It is a box, of sorts, but it's one of those finds that is quite intriguing just as it is. I'm not exactly sure how I could improve (or if I'd want to improve) on the vintage beauty of this piece with some of my own assemblage work. It's hanging in my studio right now...I haven't decided exactly how, or if, I'm going to use it.
